Deep Impact Flyby Spacecraft Orientation CK, Based on High Rate APID 17/195
===========================================================================

Orientation Data in the File
--------------------------------------------------------

This file contains reconstructed orientation of the Deep Impact
Flyby (DIF) spacecraft frame, DIF_SPACECRAFT (NAIF ID -140000),
relative to the EME J2000 inertial frame, J2000 (NAIF ID 1).

Status
--------------------------------------------------------

This file was created for archiving in Planetary Data System (PDS)
after the end of the primary mission using all relevant telemetry
     data available at that time.

Pedigree
--------------------------------------------------------

This file was generated using MSOPCK program to package into CK
format spacecraft orientation quaternions and angular rates sent
to the ground in the following APID 17/195 channels:

A-1752 -- ADCS TICK time stamp (VTC seconds)
A-1753 -- ADCS TICK time stamp (VTC microseconds)
          A-1740 -- Body frame attitude Q1
          A-1741 -- Body frame attitude Q2
          A-1742 -- Body frame attitude Q3
          A-1743 -- Body frame attitude Q4
          A-1746 -- Measured body frame rate X
          A-1747 -- Measured body frame rate Y
          A-1748 -- Measured body frame rate Z

All data for these channels for July 4, 2005 available at the
end of the primary mission from both (MASTER and CDR) Telemetry
Data Systems (TDSs) were used to make this file.

Approximate Time Coverage
--------------------------------------------------------

This file covers the following time period:

Coverage Begin UTC Coverage End UTC
          ------------------------ -----------------------
          2005-JUL-04 05:30:28.973 2005-JUL-04 06:25:27.199

This file is a type 3 CK file which provides linear interpolation
between orientation data points extracted from telemetry. The
nominal quaternion/rate time spacing in the APID 17/195 telemetry
stream was 0.2 seconds between adjacent data points. Since there
were no substantial gaps in the stream, interpolation is allowed
over the whole interval covered by the file.

Usage Note
--------------------------------------------------------

In order to use this file a DIF SCLK file, containing coefficients
mapping DIF on-board time to ET, standard LSK file, providing UTC
to ET mapping, and DI Frame Definitions file must be loaded into a
     user's program.
